I have a list of addresses that I want to add to my contacts, but it
appears that they don't get added to the contact list until I sent
them an email.
What am I missing?

Thanks Whit... MY Dumb... Here's what happened... I tried adding my
first contact... the name... not the address was... "Bill & Barb
Noname".
So,,, here's what I wrote... Bill $& Barb Noname. Inadvertant "$"
Apparently the $& converts to an html code which includes about 8
characters.   When I went to look for the name that I expected, it was
off the screen of my contact list and didn't look like what I was
expecting.
Sigh... So much to learn... so little time   :)

how did you get this far?  I don't see the import feature or link.  by
the way im using Explorer 7
