When I receive emails they are multiplying between 100-200 times each.
How do I stop this madness within my inbox?

It seems to be emails that I have forwarded from other gmail accounts.

I also have a problem w/multiplying emails.  I' ve deleted approx.
10,000 past 2 mo.  @ 1'st just between synched gmail & apple mail
(which won't send emails now) and then yahoo mail was affected also.
It has calmed down to approx 40-60 ea. time I open either mail so have
been avoiding.
Left message here & received 1 response, answered then nothing and it
is impossible to contact gmail.  Although I did file report as new bug
after I searched & didn't find reference to issue.  Have you had any
luck?

Disable all forwarding, POP, IMAP or Mail Fetcher that you use with
the email accounts. If you use mail fetcher / POP, wait a couple of
hours (these connection methods stop collecting mail after that time).
Then turn these settings back on, but only one at a time, and wait a
bit after each. This way you can diagnose where the problem lies.
