What does "knocked off the internet" mean exactly?
There shouldn't be anything a webpage like gmail can do that could
affect your internet connection, so this is almost certainly a problem
with your operating system or web browser. What browser/OS are you
using?

How can you know if you are having the same problem? I don't even know
what the original poster means by "knocked off the internet".
If you want help, you'll need to describe the problem more fully.
In general, if the problem is browser related, a sure-fire fix is to
try another browser. If you are currently using explorer, I highly
recommend firefox:

"I am knocked off the internet" means you have lost your internet
connection! Are you trying to say that your browser crashes? That is
a *totally* different problem. Please be more specific. Tell us - in
detail - what you are doing that leads to the problem, and what the
specific symptoms/conditions are that follow. You're NOT giving
anyone enough information to help you.

1. Scroll down to 'Composing and Reading Mail'.
2. On the last issue, 'Composing an email causes IE7 to crash'
3. Click 'View Details & Report'
4. Click the 'Report It' button.

I see LindsMom has great answers to all the posts about this problem--
It is not just g-mail that has this issue. It happens on Yahoo mail
and msn as well it is a IE7 issue and I've sent reports for over a
month with no change in problem so my computer guy-which I finally
confided in got me on Mozilla Firefox 3 and I've never had the problem
again.

If it specific to Internet Explorer why is it that, in my case only
the window with Gmail crashes while others remain active? This
problems has now become a daily occurrence, which was not the case
before.
