Welcome to the Gmail for Mobile subgroup!
For the best advice about accessing Gmail from your mobile device, keep these tips in mind before you post:
1. SEARCH. Someone else might have posted the same questions or answers. Try your query in the search box located at the top right corner of this page.
2. BE SPECIFIC. If you have a question or a problem, your post really isn't complete unless you provide the following information to help fellow users and the Guides truly understand the issue (just copy and paste into your post -- glossary provided below!):
1. My device model:
2. My mobile service provider:
3. My location:
4. How I access Gmail: (see glossary)
5. Here's my issue:

o Actual result: (give the full text of any error messages you receive)
o Steps to reproduce:
-- GLOSSARY
1. Device model: Examples are iPhone, Motorola Q, BlackBerry 8700, Samsung A800
2. Mobile service provider: Examples are AT&T, Sprint, Vodafone, Airtel, KDDI
3. Location: Examples are USA, UK, France, Japan, Australia
4. How I access Gmail - There are three ways to get Gmail on your mobile device, so you have to be specific about which way you're using.
a. Gmail for mobile application: This is the downloadable application that you installed on your mobile phone. You access this by clicking a Gmail icon or by opening 'Gmail' from a list of your phone's applications. b. Gmail for mobile browsers: This is simply gmail.com on your phone's web browser. You access this by typing 'http://gmail.com' into the address bar of your phone's web browser (or even 'google.com' on an iPhone).
c. POP or IMAP: You're accessing Gmail using your phone's built-in email program (i.e., Personal E-mail account on a BlackBerry, or Mail on an iPhone). You'll know you're using this method if you're not using any of the above, and you also never see the colorful Gmail logo when you access your mail.
