Subject: Differentiate between multiple addresses/accounts
I have 2 gmail addresses. One for personal use and the other for
online purhchases/web groups. The latter is forwarded to the first so
I do not need to check each account continually. However, I'd like to
be able to look at the inbox and differentiate which account an email
has been sent to. Like have acct A in red and acct B in blue, or
something similar- perhaps different fonts. Can this be done?

That feature does not exist in Gmail.  You can make a suggestion to

There are two ways to accomplish it:

(Assume the usernames are "personal" and "work".)

Define, in your personal account, a label for your work mail. If you
like, give it a colour.
Now you have two choices.  You can either fetch the mail from your
work account, or forward it.

To fetch it, enable POP in the work account, and define a Mail Fetcher
in your personal account.  Choose the defined label for the incoming
mail.

If you prefer forwarding:
Forward your work account to "personal+work @ gmail.com".  The
messages will be delivered to your personal account.
Create a filter in your personal account with "deliveredto:work" in
the "Has the words" field, and apply the chosen label to the messages.
