There are two ways to accomplish it:
(Assume the usernames are "personal" and "work".)
Define, in your personal account, a label for your work mail. If you
like, give it a colour.
Now you have two choices. You can either fetch the mail from your
work account, or forward it.
To fetch it, enable POP in the work account, and define a Mail Fetcher
in your personal account. Choose the defined label for the incoming
mail.

If you prefer forwarding:
Forward your work account to "personal+work @ gmail.com". The
messages will be delivered to your personal account.
Create a filter in your personal account with "deliveredto:work" in
the "Has the words" field, and apply the chosen label to the messages.
