I search the user group communication and find the old post from last
year but no obvious solusion were given. I have the exact problem as
the following users, please give me suggestion. as the emails and
other relative emails said, this problem seems does not anything to do
with my computer (new and very fast window vista).

When I first start using gmail, I loved it. However, for the past
several months, I have sadly had to adapt to gmail freezing upon
first
opening the window. It freezes for anywhere from 20 seconds up to a
full 5 minutes. In the meantime, there's nothing I can do while I sit
and wait for it to unfreeze and open. What is the problem? Is anybody
working on this problem? I may have to switch email providers if
nothing is done about this. I can't deal with the consistent
freezing.
I do not have this problem with any other email services or websites.
