First time the map loads, the GScaleControl lines are incomplete.
After one zoomIn or zoomOut operation it is OK.

This demonstrator was made for a different issue, but it reflects the
problem:

Tried with FF2 and IE6, previously clearing the cache.

Yes, noticed this also on our maps:

(Click the "View Interactive map" link)

It's been like this for a while, but not been too bothered by it, most
of our maps are small so don't bother putting the scale control on.
