I know this question has been asked before but I can't find a solution
on any of the discussions.
Has anyone found out how to remove the quick edit widgets (screwdriver
and wrench icon)??
I have tried removing quickedit stuff from html but it doesn't do
anything or it gives me an error.

Just wanted to let u know that the screwdriver can only be viewed by
you they are there to make you life easier. Your visiters can not see
the screwdriver. So don't bother so much about them

Hi Julie,

You can remove the quick edit tool icons - you'll have to edit the
template, but it's not complicated doing so.
