Statcounter is great cause you can check hourly and track where your
vistors are coming from . And google analytics is best in tracking
everything from keywords to map and location of where your traffic is
comming from. Both of them are free
so a must have webmasters .

Google Analytics gives you lots of shiny things - pretty graphs, and
buzzy words like "account manager" and "conversion goals".  As a
blogger, you'll get good information from SiteMeter and StatCounter.
All 3 products, and many others, install as "HTML / JavaScript" page
elements.
