I am completely new at this blog thing and I seem to be computer
illiterate as well. So, with that in mind...My problem is: I want to
"add and element" in my blog. When I click on "add a slideshow", it
brings up the "configure slideshow" screen. So far so good. I enter
my slideshow title, say Picasa web albums for my source, use album as
my option. Now here's where it gets aggravating. I enter my Picasa
username and it tells me that there are "no public albums found." Of
course not. My albums are private. I can get the HTML code from
Picasa but have no place for it to go. I tried it as a post and a
black space appeared in my posting, but the slideshow didn't run. How
can I get the slideshow in my side element and have it run
automatically when family looks up my blog?

The album is of my kids. I would prefer not to make it public. If I
did make it public to get it into my blog, could I go back into Picasa
and make it private again without messing up the blog?

Copy your own slide show codes from somewhere. Go to dashboard on
blogger. Click on:-
1. layout
2. add a page element
3. scroll down to html/javascript
4. add to blog (paste your codes here in the large box)
5. save changes (you can drag and reposition your new page element)
6. save
If you do not have the codes for your own slide show, you need to
create a slide show first. Please go to my blog: http://davidchin38.blogspot.com click on " make your own" under my slide and just follow the prompts
to create your own slide show, get the codes and paste as above.
