How to Move a Blog Between Accounts:

Many people create a blog with one Google Account but then decide they'd like to move the blog to another Google Account. Sound like something you want to do? Instead of deleting the blog and starting  over on your other Google Account (which doesn't work), just follow the below steps:

- Go to the Settings | Permissions tab of the blog you want to transfer

- Click on the "Add Authors" button

- Enter the email address of the person or account you would like the blog to be moved to and click "Invite." An invitation will then be sent to the email address you provided.

- Go to your email inbox, open this email invitation and click on the link to join the blog.

- Enter the Google Account username and password that you want the blog moved to.

- Next, if you log into that account, you should see the blog on the dashboard.

- Log in to your first account and make the newly added account an admin member of the blog by clicking on "Guest" from the Settings | Permissions tab.

- Now, if you want to remove the first account from the blog, you can do so. You'll be able to access the blog and do anything you want to it from the second account.

Happy blogging!

Disappearing Images:

Lately, we've been seeing reports from users telling us that some of their images mysteriously disappeared from their posts. (You've probably even seen some reports, yourself.) Now just to be clear, this issue is not to be confused with the disappearing images problem some experienced yesterday, which was caused by Picasa maintenance. The problem we're talking about is of a different in nature, but similar in appearance. Symptoms: Some images that you've uploaded to your blog seem to disappear for no reason at all, and you swear they were just displaying normally. Sometimes, in the place of the images, you'll see a small blank box if you're viewing your blog in Firefox. Or, if you're an IE user, you'll see a red "X." If you click on the spot where the image should be, you'll usually land on a page that displays something like "[your_picture_name.jpg]."

Cause: This happens if you inadvertently delete the originally-uploaded image. This can happen if, for example, you upload an image to post A, copy the image to post B, and then delete post A. Deleting post A (where you originally uploaded the image) effectively deletes all copies of this image, causing them to "disappear." Due to some cache issues, the images might persist and display for a day or so, but they'll eventually turn into the red "X" or blank box.

What we're doing: We're fixing this problem so an image that exists in multiple locations won't be deleted when you delete the originally-uploaded image. Stay tuned for the details about when this fix goes out.

What you can do: Be careful when you delete posts that contain images. :) Sorry, but that's the best workaround that we've got. Just make sure you know what you're getting rid of when you delete a post or image.

And the mystery of the disappearing image is put to rest.

Spammy Comments

Many bloggers are reporting comments being left on their blogs with
the keywords, "See here or here" or "See Please Here." Don't click on
those links!

If you click on the link, a window will prompt you to virus
scan your computer and then inform you that your
computer has been infected with a virus.

Don't worry though, the viruses that XPAntiVirus finds on your system
are not actual viruses; it is merely a way to trick you into
purchasing their software ;-)

However if you have already downloaded the software, you should remove
it by following instructions at the following site:

Some other suggestions to help deter malicious comments:

1.) Be sure that you have enabled comment moderation on your blog.
Instructions for enabling comment moderation can be found here:

2.) Also be sure to turn on word verification. Instructions for
turning on word verification can be found here:

3.) Help Blogger eliminate spam. Please be sure to report the user
names of the bloggers who are leaving the comments at the Blogger Help
Group.
