First half of the movie. It's kinda generic in that regard, and fits right in with:
and any number of other movies, generally about some illicit stuff, that start out with how great it is then lead you to the inevitable fall and conclusion. There are, of course, variants like Basketball Diaries, where there is an "emerging" from a low near the end.
Uhh, how about Sleepers. Great movie, but man were there some ups and downs.
Cheers.
PS: I may be confused... is Raider asking about the "best movies" that include highs and lows (all movies, basically, right?) or the best movie highs and lows?
Also, again in the context of Raider... do testicles ever regrow? Sleepless in Seattle? Ma? Ma, is that you? Who taught you to Usenet??!?!!
There are many movies that would qualify as having highs and lows. But, for me, it would have to be "Braveheart". I've got it on DVD and only watched it all the way through once. However, I've watched the first half about five times. Love to see those limey bastards getting their asses kicked.
Now a piece of movie trivia for you. Last night they ran a show listing the 100 funniest movies of all time. I didn't agree with many of their rankings but they picked "Animal House" as the number one funniest movie ever made.
