I was taking a tour of Edinburgh Castle and there is a statue of William
Wallace near the front gate.  Tour guide says, "This is a statue of the man
who has done more than anyone to help the Scotish economy - Mel Gibson!"
Also, when I was in Glasgow I was taking a taxi to (big surprise) a poker
room.  I get in and the the driver asks me if I'm English.  I promptly
respond, "Fuck no - I'm Irish Amercan".  He said, "Good, you just saved
yourself some money on the fare!"  Seems the Scots don't like the limey's
any better than the Irish do.
