Pwr suppley Problem I made a power supply with 3 paralelled LM338 Regulators in paralell (24V 12A trans), with 2 paralelled 20A rectifirs, worked great for 1 week, then all of a sudden, output dropped to 2 amps max (from 15A), , all componed seem to check out ok, getting full current out of filter caaps past rectifiers, any ideas, tried substituting a good regulater,... more »

Generic E-mail Providers for Cell-Phone Use

Looking at adding E-mail to my cell-phone (Verizon). Unfortunately my only choices of "providers" are... AOL, AIM, Windows Live Mail, and Yahoo E-mail services. My current UHF antenna is a 14" Radio Shack clip lead clipped from the center of my coax to the venetian blind. I have to hand-adjust it for the channel, weather conditions, phase of the moon, etc. I can do this because I can _see_ an indication of signal strength. Imagine a device working at 1 Volt. I what to protect it from a voltage spike of 50 to 100 Volts. Does any know how to do this in a cheap way??? Efthimios
