Low Voltage Cutout
Hi I have an access control system running off a float charged battery. If there is a power outage of +-8 Hours, the battery drops to a level lower than the access-control system can handle, and then it does not recognise the tags (the readers actually lockup, but the maglocks stay locked). I was thinking of putting a 9v zener diode on the battery, running a... more »

I will actually only use the chosen provider as a relay. Anyone have experiences/recommendations for "best" ?:-) Thanks! ...Jim Thompson... more »

Log-Periodic Antenna Design
My current UHF antenna is a 14" Radio Shack clip lead clipped from the center of my coax to the venetian blind. I have to hand-adjust it for the channel, weather conditions, phase of the moon, etc. I can do this because I can _see_ an indication of signal strength. Well, with this new Fascist "No More Free TV" crap, I'm gonna need... more »

Looking for a piezo buzzer for a Logic Board - need some help with the basics
Hi, I am looking for a little buzzer to use in a student project that will "buzz" for a wrong answer. The students are using a 9 volt battery with this in a parallel circuit. I don't know much about piezo buzzers, so I can't tell you how they sound or if they just vibrate lightly, but it is for a Logic Board... more »
