UMP MOVIES, a Bollywood film channel was officially launched on Sky yesterday in the UK. The channel was first announced as ‘UTV Movies India’ but due to another channel existing with the name ‘UTV’ in Europe the name was changed.
The channel is owned by UTV Software Communications Ltd (UTV) and is available for free at the moment . Since its launch yesterday on the 12th December 2011, blockbuster movies such as Welcome, Border, Rang De Basanti, Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal and Shootout at Lokhandwala have been shown on the channel commercial-free and without any advertisements.
UMP Movies is available free-to-air on Sky Digital channel 797
