A few weeks ago, unknown gunmen fired shots outside Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra, Mumbai. While the police has been investigating the case, and have arrested four people so far, Salman’s brother Arbaaz Khan was recently asked if Salman Khan and his family would move out of the house for precaution. Salman’s house is located in Galaxy Apartments and fans often gather around Salman’s house to catch a glimpse of the star.
When Arbaaz was asked about the Khan family moving away after the firing incident, he told Zoom, “Do you think it’ll get dissipated? Like tomorrow, if you move the location, you think that if there is an impending threat, it’ll go away. If that was the case, yes, one would do that. But the reality is that it’s not going to go away. So do you keep moving and doing that or you just take precaution?”
Arbaaz said that his father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan, has been living in that house for decades. He also mentioned that his brother Salman has also been residing in this house for a large part of his life. “That’s his home,” Arbaaz said.
Arbaaz said that even if they were to move, such attacks would completely stop. “Nobody is saying like, vacate this place and we’ll let you go. That’s not the case,” he said and added, “The only thing that one can do is take precaution of the highest level, personally or what the government can provide for you.” Arbaaz said that the only thing they can do is to “live your life as normally as possible.” He said that if one was constantly in a state of fear or threat, they wouldn’t be able to get out of the house.”
Two men on motorcycles fired five rounds at Salman’s house on April 14. Salman and his family members were inside the house when the incident took place. No one was injured. At the time, Arbaaz issued a statement on social media that read, “The recent incident of firing by two unidentified person on a motorcycle at Galaxy apartment the residence of the Salim Khan family is very disturbing and unnerving. Our family has been taken aback by this shocking incident that took place.”
