Bollywood actor Rani Mukerji, who was recently seen in the film Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway, opened up about daughter Adira Chopra in a recent chat. The actor said that Adira, who is only seven-years-old demands her own space and sweetly requests Rani to leave her room when she wants some alone time.
In a conversation with Kareena Kapoor Khan for Mirchi Plus, Rani said, “I try to spend more time with her and she is like ‘yeah mama now it’s my me time’, which my husband (Aditya Chopra) has taught her, this word ‘me time.’ So she is like, very sweetly, she will not ask me to leave the room, so she will be like how do I tell mum, in a very nice way. So she is saying, mama it’s my me time.” Rani said that she is not a ‘me time’ person and added “I am like, all my time is for you my child.”
Talking about motherhood, Rani said, “I think what happens to women when they become mothers is that there’s something in us that changes immediately. The minute you see the baby out of your system and you look at that baby’s face, you suddenly realise that you’re not important anymore. There’s somebody else more important than you. It’s the first time in our lives that we realise we love somebody more than ourselves. When that moment happened in my life, for me, there was nothing more important than my child.”
Rani and Aditya Chopra welcomed their daughter Adira in 2015.
