These movies are without a commercial break, so that adds to the enjoyment in viewing. Grand finale of Dance India Dance will be telecast on Zee TV in April. The Dance season however continues with a new show Dance India Dance Dance Ke Superstars starting this month. A repeat of the Zee Cine Awards will be shown on Zee TV in April. Choti Si Zindagi, a new serial, about a strong bond between two children in a world in which they have just each other, airs this month on Zee TV. Three new shows on Imagine Dil Se this month, Beend Banunga Ghodi Chadunga, Luteri Dulhan and Chandragupta Maurya. Mature for her age, she takes over the household duties in her mother's absence. She is an excellent cook and has been able to study well along with her household responsibilities. Zee Cine Awards 2011 will be telecast on 3rd April

fter the completion of DID Doubles, Zee TV has introduced a novel idea - a fight between the partakers of previous series of DID. The show is named as 'Dancing Ke Superstars'. It begins shortly after the culmination of DID Doubles. Zee TV has approached Geeta Kapoor, Marzi Pestonji and Remo D'Souza to judge the new series. Grandmaster Mithun Chakraborty is said to be a major part of the dance show. A source stated, "The contestants from Season 1 of DID like Siddhesh Pai, Jai Kumar Nair, Salman, Prine, Alisha, Mayuresh, Vrushali have been approached. From the Season 2 of DID, Shakti Punit, Dharmesh, Binny, Kruti, Amrita, Amar, Kishore have been offered to be part of the show. hile shooting for Zee TV show Ram Milaayi Jodi, actress Sara Khan suffered excruciating pain in her stomach and had to be rushed to a hospital recently. Medical investigations are still on to diagnose the cause of the pain. But sources close to Khan reveal that it could be either a kidney stone or appendicitis. Having been administered some pain-killers, barely three hours after her pain attack, Sara was seen asking everyone not to fuss around her and that she was willing to be taken back to the sets, so she could deliver her remaining shots for the day. A channel spokesperson said, "Contrary to the buzz that surrounds Sara and her so-called bratty ways, we've found her to be extremely accommodating. She's the last one to delay shoots, throw tantrums and constantly works towards improving her performance. Our fingers are crossed and we're praying that the cause for her pain is minor!"

Navya - a simple love story

he money offered for this show was great," jokes Shreyas Talpade, who is a mentor judge on Comedy Ka Maha Muqabla on Star Plus. "I love the format of this show as I get a chance to perform a stand-up act with my team once in every episode. It's an opportunity not every show provides you with." The actor, who flagged off his acting career with theatre, returns after six years to television. He was first seen in a Marathi daily soap, Abhalmaya, followed by his Hindi movie debut, Iqbal. "When I was a TV actor, I used to be paid peanuts," Shreyas recalls. "Today, channels pay very well, depending on how established a name you are. Whatever I draw from Comedy Ka Maha Muqabla should be credited to whatever little success I've had in movies." Juggling TV, films The actor has been juggling his Joker schedule in Chandigarh and the show's shoot in Mumbai. "The last two weeks have been extremely crazy. I would give my takes in Chandigarh, take a flight to Mumbai, rehearse, go home, have a bath, and run for the shoot again. I've not spent even an hour with my parents and wife," he sighs. Shreyas is also busy with Chemistry, a film he's co-producing.

Yet, when these two diverse people cross paths, destiny has its own rules set for them. Sarika, who is on the verge of fulfilling her dreams, unwittingly finds herself married to Jai. MJ Akbar hosts Seedhi Baat

he new Editorial Director of India Today Group M.J. Akbar has replaced Prabhu Chawla as host of Hindi talk show Seedhi Baat on Aaj Tak channel. His first interview was with senior Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyer. He has since then interviewed former National Security Advisor Brajesh Mishra, Janata Party President Subramaniam Swamy, BJPĂs Opposition leader in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj and BJP MP and Supreme Court lawyer Ram Jethmalani. COW'S MILK ALLERGY (CMA) What is CMA? The body's defence or immune system reacts to a food allergen that enters the body. Such agents are seen as foreign and the body is unable to process them. nees Bazmee's upcoming film Thank You has actress Sonam Kapoor playing a character very similar to tennis star Sania Mirza. Sonam's character is that of a pretty, young tennis player who falls in love with a guy, who turns out to be very wrong for her so she turns back from it before it gets too late. This bears a similarity to Sania's engagement with Sohrab Mirza which was called off. Sania Mirza is one of the most-talked about names at present, with her marriage to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik. According to director Anees Bazmee, Akshay Kumar, who plays the male lead in the film, plays a playboy-like character, who is dating 30-35 girls at the same time. He gives up on flirting when he meets Sonam but he's not serious about her either. Although the director dodges the question of whether Sonam's character is based on Sania Mirza, he states that Sonam has been trained by a tennis coach in Canada so that she looks professional and not amateurish. he NRI in Tanu Weds Manu is docile, unassuming and soft-spoken, has no accent or attitude, believes in arranged marriages, relishes the evergreen songs of Mohammed Rafi, is old-fashioned literally. The girl is contradictory. She's belligerent and dominating, also smokes, drinks and uses expletives, has had many 'affairs', has her new boyfriend's name tattooed on her chest, is a straight-forward and fearless babe. This is their story! Tanu Weds Manu has some great moments, some standard ones, some tedious ones as well, when you feel that the story is being stretched for no particular reason. The drama tends to get heavy after a point and that takes a toll on the film. In fact, the writing gets shaky in the middle of the second hour, although the finale is well thought of and implemented. You may call it clichĂ&#x2C6;d or formulaic, but it works big time. Meet Manu [R. Madhavan], a seedha saadha doctor from London. Intelligent, temperate and from a respectable family, the perfect groom which every parent wants for their daughter. When he arrives in India, he realizes that India has changed and so have the people. The Indian women in particular are more attracted towards the Western lifestyle. Family pressure leads him to Kanpur to meet Tanu [Kangna Ranaut], the quintessential small-town girl who has studied in Delhi.

deally, one would've expected Yeh Faasley to be an emotional journey, wherein the daughter discovers a shocking truth: Her mother was murdered by her father. Again, the daughter's fight for justice would've only added a new dimension to the film. But the writing goes horribly wrong after an interesting start and what comes across on screen is cliched, formulaic and ridiculous. Besides, the film gets lengthy and tedious, more so in its second hour. Arunima [Tena Desae], the daughter of one of the biggest builders in town, has returned home after completing her studies. She is happy that she will now be living with her father Devinder Dua [Anupam Kher] for good. Arunima lost her mother to a car accident when she was barely two. Arunima just wishes that her mother was alive, but she is somewhere content that her mother and father had a happy love story as long as it lasted. To her surprise Arunima finds a will written by her mother. Why would a woman, who died in a car accident and that too at an early age of 28, leave a will for Arunima? The presence and the essence of the will raise a few questions in Arunima's mind. But the father is not very comfortable answering questions related to the past. Gradually, Arunima starts to learn about the many shades of her father that she has never seen. Arunima is torn between the love for her father and the truth. It's the writing that lets director Yogesh Mittal down. There are gaping holes in the screenplay that can't be overlooked. Also, some of the characters in the film [Seema Biswas, Rajendra Gupta, even Suhasini Mulay] are completely under-utilized and one wonders, why were they included in the story in the first place? The post-interval portions seem neverending, the courtroom drama in this half l a c k s p u n c h and the conclusion to the story is old-fashioned and beaten to death.

He is the son of Sanjay Abbas Khan, an actor and Zarine Khan, an interior designer. He has three older sisters, Simone Khan who married Ajay Arora, Suzanne Khan who is actor Hrithik Roshan's wife and Farah Khan Ali whose husband is DJ Aqeel Ali. His uncle Feroze Khan was also an actor as is his cousin Fardeen Khan. Zayed got educated at the Welham Boys' School, Dehradun and Kodaikanal International School, Kodaikanal. The latter was where he met Malaika Parekh Khan whom he married in 2005. They had a baby boy in 2008 whom they named Zidaan Khan. VEGETABLE BRUNOISE TOPPED WITH BEETROOT JAM Assorted vegetables topped with beetroot jam. INGREDIENTS • Yellow capsicum 1/4 large • Red capsicum 1/4 large • Green capsicum 1/4 large • Carrot 1/2 medium • Cucumber 1/4 medium • Beetroots, boiled, peeled and chopped 2 medium • Salt to taste • Sugar 4 teaspoons • Black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon • Lemon juice 2 teaspoons • Hung yogurt 1 cup • Parsley a few leaves

METHOD Cut the capsicums into thin vertical strips and further cut them into small cubes. Thinly slice carrot and cucumber and further cut into thin strips and then into small cubes. Place all the vegetables in a bowl. Puree the beetroots and transfer into a pan and saute over medium heat. Add salt, sugar and quarter cup of water and mix. Add quarter teaspoon pepper powder, one teaspoon lemon juice and mix and cook till it reaches jam consistency. Add hung yogurt to the chopped vegetables and mix. Add the remaining pepper powder and remaining lemon juice and mix. Take two spoons of the same size. Take some of the vegetable mixture on one spoon and gently transfer it from one spoon to the other to shape into a brunoise. Place the brunoise, one in each white soup spoons. Drizzle some of the beetroot jam on each brunoise, garnish with a small parsley leaf and serve.

INGREDIENTS • Cottage cheese (paneer) 800 grams • Fresh mint leaves 1/2 cup • Fresh coriander leaves 1/2 cup • Parsley 1/2 cup • Garlic 4 cloves • Lemon juice 3 tablespoons • Salt to taste • Roasted cumin powder 1 tablespoon • White pepper powder to taste • Olive oil 1/4 cup • Onion , cut into 1 inch pieces and layers separated1 medium • Refined flour (maida) 2 tablespoons • Green capsicums, cut into 1/2 inch pieces 2 medium • Red capsicum, cut into 1/2 inch pieces 1 medium • Yellow capsicum, cut into 1/2 inch pieces 1 medium • Garlic, chopped 8-10 cloves • Black pepper powder 1/4 teaspoon • Red chilli powder or paprika powder1/2 teaspoon

METHOD Grind together mint leaves, coriander leaves, parsley, garlic, one and half tablespoons lemon juice, salt, roasted cumin powder, white pepper powder and two tablespoons olive oil to a coarse paste. This is charmoula paste. Cut the paneer into three fourth inch thick slabs and further cut into round slices with a cutter. Place them on a plate and sprinkle salt and red chilli powder on both the sides. Spread the charmoula paste on both sides. Dab a little refined flour over them so that the charmoula paste adheres to the paneer steaks. Heat the grill, drizzle a teaspoon oil on it and place the paneer steaks. Close the grill and let it cook. Heat a non stick grill pan with one tablespoon oil. Add onion, green, red and yellow capsicums, garlic, salt, black pepper powder, paprika or red chilli powder and toss. Cook for a couple of minutes taking care that the vegetables do not become soft. Sprinkle lemon juice and toss again. To serve put a portion of the grilled vegetables on each serving plate and place a paneer steak over and serve immediately. 1300797012

TV Channel Sound is coming but no picture. The red yellow and white leads at the back of the decoder should be tightly in.
