Producer Boney Kapoor finally opened up about the tragic demise of his superstar wife Sridevi.

    The Truth About Sridevi’s Death

In a candid interview with The New Indian, Kapoor described the superstar’s death as “accidental nor natural.” He also revealed he had been given the “clean chit” by the Dubai police after a lot of interrogations as well as lie detector tests. (Referring to rumours of him orchestrating his wife’s death).

“I said I have nothing more to say than what I have been saying. And they discovered there was no foul play. I went through all the tests, including lie detector tests and all those things. And then, of course, the report which came clearly stated it was accidental death by drowning,” he told the news portal.

    The Superstar Starved Herself

The ‘No Entry’ producer also made a shocking reveal - the ‘Mr India’ star often used to starve herself in order to look glam and as a result she often experienced blackouts. He also claimed the late star used to steer clear of salt during meals.

“She often used to starve…. She would make sure that she is chiselled and in good shape, so that on-screen, she looks good. From the time she was married to me, she had blackouts on a couple of occasions, and the doctor kept on saying she had a low BP issue, don't get into this severe diet where you avoid salt,” he said.

This was, however, far from the first time the star experienced health problems due to poor diet. He revealed that Telugu star Nagarjuna once confided to him, that she had gone on an extreme diet while working on a film with him and this had taken a toll on her health. She fell in the bathroom and broke her teeth.
