Rani Mukerji once revealed a captivating tale from her past, recounting the extraordinary circumstances of her birth. She disclosed that shortly after she was born, a remarkable twist of fate occurred: she was inadvertently switched with another newborn belonging to a Punjabi family.
In a candid conversation with Simi Garewal on her renowned talk show," Rani Mukerji unveiled a captivating tale from her childhood.
She recounted a remarkable incident wherein she disclosed that shortly after her birth, she was accidentally switched with another infant in the hospital. With a touch of intrigue, Mukerji revealed that it was her vigilant mother, Krishna Mukherjee, who eventually uncovered the mix-up, recognizing that the baby she had been caring for was not her own.
Rani further explained that the incident occurred when infants typically receive identification tags upon birth. Subsequently, the nurse took me for a routine change, and upon returning me to my mother, she was engaged in conversation with one of my uncles. Upon seeing the baby, my mother remarked, 'Oh my god! This is not my baby. My daughter has brown eyes. Go and search for my child.'"
Rani Mukerji went on to disclose that her mother embarked on a determined search, meticulously checking every room until she finally located her in the care of another Punjabi couple. Mukerji revealed that her mother identified her unmistakably by the distinct color of her eyes, a moment of recognition that reunited mother and child.
Mukerji revealed that even now, her mother fondly jokes about the unforgettable incident. The actress also mentioned that the Punjabi culture continues to hold sway within her family, indicating a lasting influence that has endured through the years. Despite her fame in the film industry, Rani Mukerji prefers to maintain a discreet personal life. In a significant turn, she became intertwined with another prominent film family, the Chopras, when she exchanged vows with
Aditya Chopra, scion of the renowned Yash Raj Films banner, in 2014. Their union marked a significant chapter in her life. Subsequently, in December 2015, Rani and Aditya welcomed their bundle of joy, a daughter named Adira, bringing immeasurable joy and pride into their lives.
