Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is soon going to be remastered with GTA V's Rage Engine by some dedicated fans, as revealed by a new trailer.
The game's Nextgen Edition, which is in development by the modding team Revolution Team, won't be just another conversion of the city but a proper remaster that will feature all of the original game's missions. While bringing over all of the story content of the original is the team's main priority, the Nextgen Edition will also feature other improvements, such as those seen in the Definitive Edition for the city itself and the weapons, improved textures for cars and NPCs, neon lights on buildings from Vice City Stories and additional fixes.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is fully playable on modern consoles and PC thanks to the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, which also includes GTA III and San Andreas. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition collects some truly groundbreaking games that still provide their share of nostalgic fun, but little has been done to make them shine here in 2021. Ultimately, a shoddy visual upgrade, choppy performance, and a lack of meaningful updates or extras may leave you questioning why you loved them in the first place. Perhaps this collection can be brought up to snuff with updates from Rockstar (or modders), but for now, its Wanted Level remains low.
