Actress Reema’s husband to treat Umar Sharif in US

Husband of Pakistani actress Reema Khan will treat comedy king Umar Sharif in the USA, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Umar Sharif’s wife Zareen Ghazal said preparations, supervised by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, were being finalized for her husband’s treatment in the USA.

In the USA, filmstar Reema’s husband Dr Syed Tariq will treat the Pakistani comedy king. The actress’ husband is a cardiologist and is an American citizen.

Umar Sharif’s family said if he is not sent to the USA then he would have to undergo open-heart surgery here which could prove threatening for his health.

Earlier In a recorded message, Umar Sharif had said that he needed treatment abroad therefore he needed to travel abroad. Hence, the 66-year-old requested the PM to facilitate him.

Prime Minister Imran Khan also took notice of his appeal and directive PMO to bear the expenses of Umar Sharif’s treatment.

A week ago, gorgeous actress Reema Khan had highlighted her husband Dr Syed Tariq’s work and said she was proud of her husband for taking care of Afghan refugees. Reema shared a photo of her husband in the cockpit of the plane with the US aviation officials on Instagram and hailed him.

Reema Khan wrote, “My husband - Dr Syed Tariq Shahab, is on his way to Doha, Qatar with Team-USA, to help and take care of the Afghan refugees. I am very proud of him for his dedication, hard work and sacrifice. And I pray to Allah that he has a very safe and successful trip, Ameen.”

Reema Khan was married to Dr Syed Tariq Shahab in 2011, after which she said goodbye to the showbiz and is now living in the United States. A few years back she came back and started work again and did few projects.

Indian singer Daler Mehndi, who is known as king of Punjabi pop and Bhangra, appealed for prayers for the veteran comedian. He requested Prime Minister Imran Khan to pay immediate attention to the matter.

In his video message, Mehndi addressed Imran Khan and recalled the time when he came to Pakistan for Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital and raised funds with Sharif.

"Umar Sharif joined you on your call. Today he needs you. As prime minister, you have a lot of power in your hands. Earlier, artist Amanullah Sahib passed away and now Umar Sharif is not feeling well. "

"I saw his video which I did not even watch in full. I was very saddened. Imran Khan, I request you to take care of Pakistani artists," he concluded.

On the other hand, Indian comedian and film actor Johnny Lever also prayed for the speedy recovery of Pakistan’s comedy king.
