Ever lost your Sky TV remote and wished there was a easy way to find it again?

Well, there is, and it's ridiculously simple to use—even if it's fallen deep down the back of the sofa.

Every Sky Q remote has a secret built-in loudspeaker that can be easily switched on and all you have to do is follow the noise. If only all TV remotes had this feature.

Just like 'Find My iPhone', the speaker can be turned on and make loud beeping noises until you retrieve it. However, it will only work if your remote has batteries in it.

To activate the function, you just need to press and hold the 'Q' button on your Sky Q set top box for a few seconds.

Your remote will beep for around 30 seconds, giving you a short window of time to find it again.

If you don't hear anything, it could be out of range of the box. If this is the case, or if you still have an old set top box, you'll just have to find it the old fashioned way.

The Sky Q box is Sky's nifty high-tech new TV platform. It supports 4K streaming as well as Google Chromecast and all of the hundreds of satellite movie and sports channels that are usually included in the monthly service.

Things could all be set to change very soon however as Sky has announced a new smart TV that won't require satellite dishes or set-top boxes.

Sky Glass will bring speakers, soundbars and Sky boxes all into one TV and enable you to access iPlayer, Netflix and Amazon all in one place on top of Sky's usual channels.
