The South actress, who was last seen in Telugu thriller Yashoda for which she charged a whopping fee of Rs 6 crore, per News18, is all set to make her Bollywood debut opposite Ayushmann Khurrana soon, per TOI.
Touted as the most talented actress in Bollywood, Alia Bhatt, who recently welcomed a baby girl with her husband Ranbir Kapoor, managed to bag the second spot on the list of most popular Indian actresses. According to a Financial Express report, Bhatt took home a paycheck of approx Rs 10 - 12 crore as remuneration for essaying the role of Isha in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra.
The third spot belongs to South actress Nayanthara, who is all set to dominate the big screens in 2023 with interesting projects like Jawan, Gold, Connect, Lady Superstar 75 and others. The renowned actress, who was last seen in megastar Chiranjeevi's action thriller Godfather, charged the makers Rs 4 crore for her role in the Telugu drama.
Kajal Aggarwal has occupied the fourth spot on the list of most popular actresses in India. With a long list of blockbusters like Chandamama, Magadheera and others to her credit, Aggarwal charges around Rs 1.5 - 4 crore per project, per multiple online reports.
The fifth-most popular Indian actress on the list is Deepika Padukone. According to a TOI report, the Bollywood actress charges Rs 15 - 30 crore as fees depending on the length of her role in the project. Padukone's interesting lineup for 2023 includes Pathaan, Fighter and Project K.
Rashmika Mandanna, who is currently busy with the filming of Pushpa 2: The Rule with Allu Arjun, secured the sixth spot on the popularity list. According to Showbiz Galore, the South actress charged Rs 4 crore for her role in the Bollywood debut film Goodbye co-starring Amitabh Bachchan.
Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is the seventh most popular star in the country. Recently seen in the horror comedy Phone Bhoot with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter. The 39-year-old actress, who has interesting movies like Merry Christmas and Tiger 3 in her kitty, charges Rs 10 crore per project, as per CAknowledge.
One of the highest-earning actresses in the South industry, Anushka Shetty grabbed the eighth spot on Ormax Media's popular stars list. Shetty, who has a massive net worth of Rs 110 crore, per CAknowledge, reportedly earns around Rs 4 crore per project.
Actress Keerthy Suresh, who is known for her roles in Tamil and Telugu films, is ninth on the list. According to a News18 report, Suresh will earn a staggering amount of Rs 3 crore as remuneration for her role in Dasara with Nani.
Recently seen in Mani Ratnam's magnum opus project Ponniyin Selvan I, Trisha Krishnan managed to grab the tenth spot on the popular list of actresses in the country. She took home a massive paycheck of Rs 2.5 crore for essaying the role of Princess Kundavai, daughter of Emperor Sundara Chola in the period drama, per Free Press Journal.
