Celebs announcing a temporary break from social media is not new anymore. While some genuinely do so for sanity, others do the same for promotional activities. On June 9, Kajol took to Instagram and dropped a cryptic post. She mentioned that she is taking a break from social media as she is facing a ‘tough trial'. While her fans were concerned, a section of netizens felt it could be a promotional strategy for Disney+ Hotstar show, The Good Wife.

Kajol, who has an array of projects lined up, will next be seen in The Good Wife, where she plays a lawyer. On Friday, the actress took to social media and dropped a cryptic post that read, “Facing one of the toughest trials of my life (sic).” Trial and lawyer - rings a bell?

Her caption read, “Taking a break from social media (sic).” All her previous posts also stand deleted.

Kajol is making her OTT debut with The Good Wife - Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhoka, where she plays a lawyer.
