New Delhi: Hrithik Roshan, who was recently seen playing the role of Vedha in Pushkar and Gayatri's film Vikram Vedha, also starring Saif Ali Khan, shared his journey of getting into the character. Hrithik's character, Vedha Betaal is a carefree and fearless gangster and a local of Kanpur. Hrithik has flawlessly played the role and has been appreciated by many for the same. However, recently Hrithik shared a video on Instagram revealing how he was in the character for nine long months and the efforts that went behind understanding and learning his character, body language and dialect.
Hrithik shared a video on Instagram revealing how he first had to find comfort in becoming a 'yeda' (translates to insane in Marathi) before becoming Vedha. In the video, Hrithik can be seen rehearsing his dialogues and learning the language and dialect of his character, who is based in Lucknow. He captioned it, "To become 'Vedha' I had to first find comfort in being a 'yeda.' 9 months of prepping & being Vedha - from October 2021 to June 2022. Exactly the time human lives take to birth. Vedha has been a process of moulding from scratch, today it's a character I'm proud of."
He added, "Learning to talk, walk, dance, eat & live like Vedha has been sheer joy. There may not be Hrithik in Vedha, but there will always remain Vedha in Hrithik."
Hrithik even thanked his teachers, who helped him learn his character in a fun way.
He wrote, "Thank you to my teachers Vinod Rawat and Ganesh Kumar for making this so damn fun for me. And thank you to my team, my family. You guys give me more than I deserve."
Hrithik's post caught the attention of his parents Rakesh and Pinkie Roshan. His ex-wife, Sussane Khan too commented on the actor's post.
Rakesh Roshan commented, "Effort always pays, keep going." Pinkie Roshan wrote, "Lovely lovely. Please kahani sunaoo na... bahut saree kahaniyan sunne ke liye ready hain hum. (Please tell us stories... we're ready to listen to so many stories.)"
Sussane Khan's comment read, "You're always 100 steps ahead of everyone in all that you do!! Vedha is an EPIC character and the little nuances you embraced was incredible!! Full power and energy to you Rye!!!"
Hrithik's niece Suranika too commented on her uncle's post. Her comment read, "Omg I Love This! No one does dedication like you do."

Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan's Vikram Vedha was released in theaters on 30 September. The film opened to positive reviews.
The film, directed by Pushkar and Gayatri, is the official Hindi remake of the 2017 Tamil film of the same name, starring R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. Hrithik's film also stars Rohit Saraf and Yogita Bihani in pivotal roles.
