Bollywood superstar Salman Khan put an end to the rumours that he and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are in a feud. The actor, who remained unfazed by the infamous firing incident which took place outside his residence on April 14, arrived in style at the screening of Bhansali’s upcoming Netflix series ‘Heeramandi’ in Mumbai on Wednesday evening. Salman was surrounded by his security as he walked the red carpet. He also posed with Bhansali at the premiere.
Salman looked dapper in black shirt and colourful printed pants as he greeted the paps with a smile. A video of Salman arriving at the event was shared by paparazzo Viral Bhayani on his Instagram account, and fans couldn’t stop drooling over the actor’s unconventional style. One fan wrote, “Bhai ka swag hi different hai.” Another one said, “Salman is my all time favourite.”
Netflix India went on to share a picture of Salman and Bhansali from the event. The duo held each other close as they posed for the camera. The photo officially put an end to speculation around his alleged fallout with Bhansali after their movie ‘Inshallah’ with Alia Bhatt was shelved. His appearance at the screening has made it clear that all is well between him and Bhansali.
On the work front, Salman Khan is likely to begin the filming of his next, Sikandar, in May but not without tight security. Owing to the recent firing incident outside his house, Salman’s security has been scaled up. Salman had travelled to Dubai recently with tightened security.
A source has revealed that the security team will take over the shoot location 10 days before Salman arrives on sets to plan and secure the sets. “About a fortnight before the shoot commences, Salman’s security team will take over the location and secure it. Only after they are assured of the venue’s safety, will the shoot begin. The idea is to do so before every location change,” a source told Mid-Day.
On April 14, two men fired gunshots outside Salman’s Galaxy Apartments. The attackers have been nabbed and investigation is underway. Although Salman has not reacted to the firing, his father Salim Khan told India Today, “What’s there to talk about ye jaahil log jo kehte hain maar denge tab pata lagega na (These illiterate people say you’ll learn your lesson when we’ll kill you). We’ve been given extra police protection. They’ve (Mumbai Police) assured protection for us and our friends. If they’ve arrested two people today, that means they’re on it.”
