Voice control not working on Sky Stream
If you're having problems with voice control on your Sky remote, try these steps.
Before you use voice control, make sure the Sky Stream remote is paired and the Sky Stream puck is connected to the internet.
Reminder: You need to have a Sky Ultimate TV subscription for voice control to work.
Check voice control is working on your Sky remote
- Hold the Sky remote in front of you.
- Press and hold the Voice button on the Sky remote as you speak clearly into the microphone (under the Sky logo at the top of the remote).
3. Release the Voice button when you've finished speaking.
You should see the search query on screen and then the results.
Check your remote
- Remove the battery cover off the back of the Sky remote.
- Take out the batteries and insert them again, matching the + and - signs.
- Replace the cover by lining up the catch with the back of the remote and sliding it forward until it clicks into place.
- Lift up the remote and cover the buttons slightly with your hand to check the white backlight behind the buttons is showing and that the remote has power. Can't see the backlight? Try pressing a button.
Pair the Sky remote
Only one Bluetooth remote can be paired to the Sky Stream puck at any time.
- Press and hold 1 and 3 together on the Sky remote for three seconds.
- Once it's paired, press and hold the Voice button on the remote to check voice control is now working.
Restart your Sky Stream puck
- Put your Sky Stream puck on standby by pressing the Standby button on your Sky remote or on the bottom of your Sky Stream puck.
- Switch off your Sky Stream puck at the mains then switch it back on again. There’s no need to unplug it.
After a few seconds, you'll see the Sky logo on screen and the white standby light will come on (it might blink off and back on again) as the Sky Stream puck starts back up.
3. On your Sky remote, press the Home button. You should see the Home screen.
