Age is but a number — and these female celebrities over 40 are here to prove it. 

We've rounded up some of the most body positive women in Hollywood who aren't afraid to show a little (or a lot!) of skin no matter their age.

Sofia Vergara

The Colombian beauty is gracing the cover of Women's Health this month for their Sept. "Naked Issue" — and she's sending a message about body positivity in the process. “Here’s a woman, 45, being able to show her body," Vergara told the magazine. "It’s not like before when it was just young girls who would make the cover of a magazine.”

Jennifer Lopez

J-Lo stepped out in style for her 48th birthday in July. The singer looked sexy in a super sheer, black mini-dress with cut-outs. And of course, she wasn't shy about showing off her killer legs on the dance floor. 

Laverne Cox

This Orange Is The New Black star is the definition of #TransIsBeautiful. Cox, 45, posted a photo of herself to Instagram in May rocking a cheeky white bathing suit that featured lots of side boob. She topped off the look with natural-looking hair. 

Heidi Klum

The model and America's Got Talent judge, 44, is not shy about sharing some intimate behind-the-scenes moments from her dressing room. She posted this topless photo of herself in July, which also reveals her tights and underwear line. She also posed topless for Vogue Italia in July 2015, sporting high-rise denim and the most voluminous hair we've ever seen.

Eva Longoria

This 42-year-old actress proves bikinis have no age limit. She posted this photo of herself while on a trip to Spain in July with the most relatable bikini pic caption: "It's all about angles ... and not breathing ... and sucking it in until you're about to pass out!"

Halle Berry

Berry is looking fierce at 50. She also posted a bikini pic in July. She looks like she's having the time of her life as she jumps up in the air with her little black suit and messy, carefree hair. 

Mel B

The America's Got Talent judge, 42, got serious about body positivity in the caption of this topless photo she posted in December: "As a (woman), I embrace my flaws and I'm comfortable in my own skin ... Ladies  we gotta love the skin we are in. #feelinmyself"

Gwyneth Paltrow

Paltrow, 44, showed off her abs on the March cover of Women's Health. The Goop guru, who's all about empowering women through health and beauty, glowed in a red bikini and loose, beachy waves.
