26 pictures and videos that take you inside Preity Zinta’s quaint home in Los Angeles

This year, thousands across the globe have loaded up their Instagram feeds with throwback posts, reminiscing on their pre-coronavirus lives. And Preity Zinta's hopped on the trend as well, sharing several pictures of her iconic roles with her fans, from the ambitious Rhea Saran in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna to the super independent Ambar Malhotra from Salaam Namaste. This year, the actor also celebrated 22 years of being part of the Indian film industry with a heartfelt post on Instagram. And now, Zinta's back at work too, flitting between Dubai and LA to support her IPL cricket team, Kings XI Punjab.

Until work came calling, Zinta spent a majority of 2020 in the west coast of the United States, enjoying quality time with her husband Gene Goodenough, her mother Nilprabha Zinta, and her dog, Bruno. The Kal Ho Na Ho actor used her time at home to workout, whip up some exciting dishes, and treat her mom to the occasional head massage too. Preity Zinta's living room is perfect for intimate celebrations

A palette of whites and neutral hues characterise Preity Zinta and Gene Goodenough's open plan living room. Featuring a wall full of framed photographs and shelves stacked with books and awards (notice Zinta's Filmfare trophy here?), the space is the couple's go-to spot for hanging out with friends. A wall-mounted flat screen TV features above an electric fireplace here, facing a cream-coloured sectional—Zinta’s favourite place to cuddle up with Bruno. Two beige armchairs sit next to the couch with printed covers, creating another corner where one can enjoy some alone time. The lounge area opens up to a backyard with a patio, leading to the pool.

The couple's living area also includes another seating area with striped sofas, and a second fireplace built below a vintage mirror. Large windows on one side of the wall bring in lots of natural light, and flower vases brighten up the room further.

And her pristine kitchen follows a soothing all-white palette

Light wooden floors and ivory cabinets with gold accents take over Zinta's spick and span, kitchen space, which also features a glass-topped marble kitchen island and lots of home plants. If you follow the actor on Instagram, you'll know that she's spent a good amount of time in here this year, trying her hand at cooking all kinds of desserts and cookies.

Preity Zinta's dining area also doubles as a spot for board game nights. With a wooden table, off-white chairs, ornate candle stand and large windows not too far away, the room is perfect for a relaxed evening at home with friends.

Much like the rest of the house, Preity Zinta's bathroom—where she, like Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anushka Sharma, gave her husband a mid-lockdown haircut—also features white walls and black-trimmed windows. The place is decorated with framed artworks, also in black and white, and a textured wallpaper, against which sits her full-length mirror.

Just outside the living room, you step out to a patio with an electric heater and black lounge furniture. 

Like many LA residences, Preity Zinta and Gene Goodenough's bungalow comes with a pool and hot tub, complete with a stone water feature on one side. Located just outside her living room, the pool is accompanied by black patio furniture, an electric heater and grey loungers. The lush greenery here creates a relaxed vibe, and the patio also leads to an outdoor bar with a marble countertop on the other side of the garden. It's here that the actor can often be seen playing with her pup Bruno, and occasionally enjoying her mother’s head massages.
