These t-shirts will help you stay cool and stylish on hot summer days, free from all worries of sweat stains.
Whether it’s just a day of strolling around the city or drinking at your favourite beachside bar as you soak up the summer sun, the long list of summer activities we’ve been so eagerly missing calls for a casual t-shirt that gives a cool, laid back vibe. However, with the high humidity plus burning temperatures in Hong Kong, it’s easy to result with unwanted sweat stains no matter the amount of deodorant you layer yourself with.
Luckily, there are other ways to avoid such embarrassment, such as steering away from clothes made from 100 percent cotton. While cotton is great at absorbing moisture, it also locks them in, causing a rise in body temperature and thus generating even more sweat. Instead, choose those made with natural fibres — for example, linen and merino wool — as they are both breathable and lightweight, or performance fabrics technologically enhanced with quick-drying or moisture-wicking qualities. Of course, wearing a lighter colour also helps, as it reflects light and heat.
We’ve shortened the sorting process for you by rounding up a list of eight sweat-proof men’s t-shirts that will ensure you stay stylish and cool on hot summer days, and free from sweaty embarrassment. Scroll down and start shopping!

If you think merino wool is only for winter, you’re wrong. The fine natural fibre is actually known for its ability to regulate temperature all year round. In the summer, the breathable fabric absorbs sweat away from your skin, which then gets evaporated into the air leaving you dry and cool. It also resists odours and has a natural UV barrier against harmful rays. This t-shirt by Pringle Of Scotland features a round neck and delightful green hue, and an embroidered sign featuring a swimmer diving into the water — something we’d very much like to do right now.

The swirling paisley is an emblematic print for Etro, which has a heritage that centres around bohemian-inspired prints from the 60s and 70s. This t-shirt in navy, blue and brown paisley print is crafted in Italy from cool and breathable linen, and cut in a relaxed fit for warmer days.
