I actually enjoyed this. I think it could be a bit triggering for some people but enjoyed how it was written in 2 parts, the first from Amber's and second from Daphne's perspectives. This was a nice surprise.
The first half was maybe a little long but set it up nicely to then read Daphne's view at the end.
I could definitely see a movie being made from this.

As they say, you never know what happens behind closed doors. Amber didn't see the red flags - or at least understand them. The glasses all perfectly arranged as if a measuring tape had been used to ensure proper spacing, when in fact they WERE. Not by Daphne but Jackson. Ditto food cans - all having to be faced labels out and by height in the cabinets AND refrigerator. The time Jackson found a "strawberry" drink in front of a "cherry" bottle - out of alphabetical order per his orders and proceeded to go ballistic and pull everything out and dump it on the floor and/or ON Daphne & pelting her with eggs, to boot. Then demanded she 'clean it all up'. Afterward being given a $68,000 purse.

A MUST READ!!! Twists and turns galore. One of my top favorite book to read. Read in a couple days. I could not put it down. A page turner.

I really enjoyed this book. I found myself reluctant to put it down, even for a few minutes. It was well-written and had a much different plot from books that have been popular in the past few years. It was refreshing in that aspect. It was haunting in the topic it covered. A+ grading from me!
