July 14, 2023This guy was fun from the moment we decided to adopt him. We made sure he was sat comfortably in the cart, and due to his articulated joints, this was easy to do. As we continued on through the store he must have been flirting when our back was turned because he got a lot of smiles and comments. As we were leaving store, a woman squealed and came up to ask if he had and brothers or sisters inside. When we said yes she happily scurried inside to adopt her own family member. We sat him in the car, carefully buckling him in and raised his arm in a wave, and he continued waving all the way home, prompting lots of smiles and waves back. As a skeleton he has a fun and friendly vibe and holds any pose well. He became a very welcome addition to our Halloween decor even before we got him out of the store.
Very poor quality.

October 1, 2021I got a white skeleton from a big box last week for less than half of what I paid for this one. I wanted the rainbow one Grandin Road they had in years past but it was sold out so I settled on this one. I was shocked at the quality when it arrived. It's worse than the one from the big box store. My white one from T has multiple locking joint positions and seems very tight. This gray one only has one position for each joint. So if you go past the locking spot it's just floppy. Not posable at all really. You can either have it standing or sitting. We noticed some of the screws were cross threaded and some weren't completely put into position either. Another poor design is the screws are visible from the front. It makes it look really cheesy. The one from T has all of the screws in the back so they're not visible at all.
Lastly it's not adult sized. I think they use props to make it appear to be but it's almost the exact size of my 12 year old. So they're like kid skeletons not adult skeletons. So adult clothing doesn't fit unless they are extra small. Still on the hunt for an adult sized Skelton of quality.
I included photos of the screws visible in the front, the cross threaded nut, and the one screw and plug that wasn't put together properly. I will fix what I can but I can't fix the floppy parts due to the bumps in the plastic missing or the fact that there is only one for each joint. The paint isn't good, it's chipped, rubbed off on the shipping box, and just not good either.
It's not a horrible skeleton but WAY overpriced. Get a cheaper one from another store.

October 2, 2021This skeleton has joints that lock into place for posing.
Arms and legs only move up and down, front to back. Not a full, out to the side, posing capability. Wrists don't pivot around. Only move up or down, like feet. Head can be turned. Spine is stiff. Jaw opens and closes.
Overall the quality of the build is that which you can find in other local brick and mortar stores for less than half, or more, of the Grandin Road cost. At least the ones in those stores also come with LED eyes, and are built a bit to feel a bit more 'solid'. Less of a flimsy plastic. The only wow-factor with this skeleton is it simply has a base coat of black matte paint with a top coat dry brushing technique of dark silver.
I've decided to get a cheaper (sturdier) LED white skeleton, and take an hour or so to copy this painting style. I'll add LED eyes to this Grandin Road one. Maybe even make some 'ping pong ball' eyes and insert over installed LED's... Buahahaha!
Overall, It's an ok product. I do feel duped, though.

September 3, 2024Way overpriced for a skeleton improperly pieced together fibula and tibia placement. Fibula is narrow bone and should be lateral / outside of tibula (wider bone). Once you see it, you can see it. It’s a shame because otherwise it’s a great looking skeleton.
