Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express Jannat 2 is, for the most part, a badly-done, badly-acted enterprise, lifted only a notch by a couple of performances. Rated: 1.5/5 Mar 27, 2019 Full Review Rachel Saltz New York Times It never lives up to the cheeky-rogue promise of its first scenes. Rated: 2.5/5 May 4, 2012 Full Review Priya Joshi Digital Spy Paradise? I don't think so. More like a slow descent into acting hell. Rated: 2/5 Oct 30, 2017 Full Review Kaleem Aftab The National (UAE) It's a bewildering clash of genres: the intriguing buddy-buddy cop relationship takes place against the backdrop of an intense crime drama. Oct 26, 2017 Full Review Manish Gajjar Birmingham Mail The intensity and flow of the narration is constantly interrupted by the lead couple's romantic scenes. The director could have also used less abusive language to make the scenes more appealing to a Bollywood audience. Rated: 2/5 May 25, 2012 Full Review Daniel Eagan Film Journal International A petty crook falls in love with a doctor in a clinic for the poor with tragic results in this slow-paced, far-fetched thriller. Audience Member A power-pack performance by the lead actors of the film, Emraan Hashmi and Randeep Hooda. 1st half of the movie is very well established, however, the 2nd half of the movie drags a bit and ends up with a overstretched and predictable climax. With that being said, watch this movie for its well written dialogues, and great chemistry between Emraan and Randeep. Overall its a nice entertainer. (Rate:- 3.5 / 5) Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member A well crafted movie. Must watch! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Not as good as the first one. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Heaven unfolds again... pretty good movie this Jannat 2 !! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Copied in parts from Hollywood (ie. the Departed), Randeep Hooda and Emran Hashmi are able to carry the film, somewhat. The female lead is a non-actress (ie. model) and therefore, a major downer. Nothing to write home about, but worth a watch for those who like Hashmi's work. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Not your typical Bollywood movie, better than its previous iteration.
