His Arabic is Abū l-Qāsim Muḥammad ibn ‘Abd Allāh ibn‘ Abd al-Muttalib ibn Hāšim al-Qurayšī. In the Muslim religion, Muhammad is considered the last of the prophets of a long chain of messengers sent by God to update his message, whose predecessors include Abraham, Moses and Jesus of Nazareth.
